Why I do what I do.
RDA Critical Solutions began as a professional investigative and process-serving business. Over time, though, it became clear that the skills at the core of investigations—critical thinking, problem-solving, and resourcefulness—were the same skills young people need to navigate life. That realization, combined with my background as a juvenile probation officer and middle school teacher, inspired me to expand RDA’s mission beyond investigations and into youth enrichment.
For me, this direction is deeply personal. I’ve carried a lifelong passion for Dungeons & Dragons, Magic: The Gathering, and strategy games. These games taught me how to think ahead, adapt to unexpected challenges, and work with others to reach shared goals. They weren’t just hobbies—they were training grounds for creativity, resilience, and social connection.
Bringing those lessons to kids felt natural. Through this program, I’m able to blend the discipline and structure I learned in law enforcement and education with the imagination and problem-solving that tabletop games encourage. It’s not simply about teaching a game—it’s about giving young people the tools, confidence, and curiosity to face their own real-world adventures.
At RDA Critical Solutions, the youth program is more than an add-on. It’s a reflection of who I am, where I’ve been, and what I believe kids are capable of when they’re given the right space to learn and grow.
